Board of Commissioners Position 3 Announcement

The Valley View Sewer District Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications for Commissioner Position 3 from December 21, 2021, through January 10, 2022, at 5 p.m.

The candidate on the November 2022 Election Ballot will not be taking the Oath of Office and become a Commissioner of the District. The chosen candidate for this vacancy would be an appointed Commissioner until the November 2023 election results are certified. If the appointed Commissioner wishes to continue in this role, they must be elected by the citizens of the District during the November 2023 election.

Anyone interested in applying for the Board of Commissioner Position 3 must submit a letter of interest and resume to the District. Documents can be delivered to the District Office, at 3460 S 148th St., Tukwila, WA 98168, or mailed to PO Box 69550, Seattle, WA 98168, or emailed to valvue@valleyviewsewer.org. All letters of interest shall include:

  • Why the candidate is applying to be a Commissioner
  • Why the candidate would be a good choice to be appointed to the Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners will individually review letters of interest and resumes. Candidates chosen for an interview will appear before the Board of Commissioners during the January 18, 2022, public meeting for their scheduled interview.

Applicants must meet requirements to fill the position under RCW 42.12, which requires a Commissioner to be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, a registered voter in the District, and has not pleaded guilty or been convicted of a felony.

Sewer Related Emergencies

Billing Questions & Account Updates

We request all non-sewer related emergency calls leave a message in our general voicemail. Please leave your name, service address, and your contact information, and we will return your call as soon as possible. The District phone number is 206-242-3236. An email inbox for billing questions is valvue@valleyviewsewer.org.

You may pay your sewer bill by US Mail, by phone, by auto-pay, online, or in-person by dropping off your payment in the drop box located near the flag pole in our parking lot. https://www.valleyviewsewer.org/customers/billing/

 Permitting & Inspections

For Permitting and Inspection needs, please call 206-242-3236 or email valvue@valleyviewsewer.org. Our team will continue to review and issue permits electronically and will be available to meet with our customers and contractors with scheduled appointments.

Board of Commissioners Meeting Notice

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the District’s Regular Board Meetings that are open to the public, and routinely held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the District Administration Office, will not be open for onsite attendance. Staff, the Board of Commissioners, and the public are welcome to attend the meeting remotely by: calling into the meeting, or by connecting to the meeting with their computer or smart phone. Please contact District staff if you have questions about this process.
