GENERAL FACILITY CHARGE SCHEDULED TO INCREASE
As of July 1st, 2025 the General Facilities Charge for Valley View Sewer District is $10,985
June 30th, 2026 will be the last day to pay current GFC prices.
Valley View Sewer District hired the FCS Group to perform a Study on its General Facilities Charge (GFC). The Study has now been completed. The GFC is a connection charge that applies to all new connections, such as new Single-Family, Multifamily, and Commercial connections to the sewer system. The GFC is collected to ensure each new connection pays its equitable share of the cost of the sewer system. Read the FCS Group report here.
The current GFC for a reduced Multifamily / ADU is $8,788. Most but not all ADU’s and Multifamily units qualify for the reduced charge. Multifamily units larger than 1,500 sq ft and ADU’s larger than 1,000 sq ft will be charged at the normal rate.
GFC classifications will increase in one more stage. The GFC for Single-Family Residences will increase to $14,460 effective July 1, 2026.
The GFC increases ensure rehabilitation projects identified in the Comprehensive Sewer Plan are responsibly funded using a combination of GFC revenue and rate revenue collected from monthly sewer bills.
